The Core Tee: 260 gsm cotton, flocking and oversized fit

The Core Flocking Tee is Masaya Studios’ oversized cotton tee. Its specification is concrete: 260 gsm fabric, dropped shoulders, a vintage wash, a 30 × 30 cm flocked back graphic and a 3 × 3 cm chest icon. Grey, Green and Red are the three colourways in ERUPTION 1.

What does 260 gsm tell you about a t-shirt?

260 gsm means one square metre of the fabric weighs 260 grams. It describes fabric weight, not the weight of the finished tee or a guaranteed lifespan. For the Core Tee, read that number alongside the cotton composition, garment measurements and oversized cut when deciding whether the shape suits you.

A fabric-weight number alone cannot tell you how much a garment will shrink, how quickly it will dry or how long its print will last. Those questions need their own evidence.

Where is the flock print, and what does it look like?

The Core Tee carries a 30 × 30 cm flock print across the back and a 3 × 3 cm Y icon on the chest. Flock gives the marks a raised, velvet-like surface. The product photographs show the placement and colour contrast; the separate flocking guide covers the texture and care.

How do you choose an oversized Core Tee size?

Compare the measurements with a tee you already like, laid flat. Core Tee size L is listed as 74 cm long and 60 cm across the chest, with a 57 cm shoulder measurement and 22.2 cm sleeve. These are garment dimensions, not body measurements or a universal size recommendation.

The shoulder seam is intentionally dropped. Choosing a size only to put that seam at the edge of your shoulder changes the intended fit. Start with the Core Tee size guide, then compare length and width rather than relying only on the letter on the label.

What care does the flocked tee need?

Masaya’s care instructions are a 30°C wash, inside out, without tumble drying. Follow the label on your garment and avoid treating the print as a test surface for extra heat. These are practical care instructions; we do not publish a wash-count result or a guaranteed lifetime for this tee.

No. GSM is the fabric's mass per square metre. A finished tee's weight also depends on its size, cut and construction. We do not publish a measured whole-garment weight for the Core Tee.
