Flocking print, from the wearing side
Flocking gives fabric a raised, velvet-like textile surface. On Masaya Core Tee, the flocked back logo measures 30 × 30 cm and the chest icon 3 × 3 cm. We have not published a wash-cycle or abrasion test, so we do not promise a specific print lifespan.
Core Tee uses flocking for the large back logo and the small chest icon. The details we can put numbers on are the print dimensions, fabric weight and garment measurements. This guide separates those product specifications from durability claims that would need a documented test.
What is flocking print on Core Tee?
Flocking is the raised, velvet-like surface on the Core Tee logos. The back print measures 30 × 30 cm; the Y icon on the chest measures 3 × 3 cm. These dimensions describe the design. They do not establish how many washes the print will survive or identify its exact adhesive formulation.
The Core Flocking Tee in Green shows the back print against a washed green fabric. The same placement appears on the red and grey versions.
What does 260 gsm tell you about the T-shirt?
260 gsm means that a square metre of the fabric weighs 260 grams. Core Tee uses 100% cotton at this weight, with an oversized cut and drop shoulders. The number describes fabric weight. It does not measure the finished garment’s weight, prove resistance to abrasion or guarantee a particular lifespan.
| Product detail | Core Tee specification | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Fabric | 100% cotton, 260 gsm | Fibre and fabric weight |
| Cut | Oversized, drop shoulders | Intended silhouette |
| Back print | Flocking, 30 × 30 cm | Print placement and dimensions |
| Chest icon | Flocking, 3 × 3 cm | Smaller front detail |
| Size L | 74 cm long, 60 cm chest width | Flat garment measurements |
Compare a T-shirt you own with the full garment measurement table. Chest width is a flat measurement, not body circumference.
How durable is Masaya’s flocking print?
We have not published a controlled wash-cycle or abrasion test for this Core Tee. That means we cannot give a verified number of washes, promise that the print lasts for years or rank it above puff print. The product specification describes its texture; it is not evidence of comparative durability.
We also do not treat vintage wash as a guarantee that the garment cannot shrink further. Follow the care label and compare actual measurements when judging fit.
How should you wash Core Tee?
Wash Core Tee at 30°C, turn it inside out and skip the tumble dryer. Those are the care instructions for this product. They are not a prediction of its lifespan. Check the garment label before treatment, and contact us if you are unsure how to handle a mark on the print.
For general background, Siser’s guidance for its own decorated garments explains that friction, detergent additives and heat can affect decorations. Siser is not identified here as Masaya’s supplier, and its material tests are not tests of Core Tee.
What is the difference between flocking and puff?
On our current Core Tee, flocking gives the logos a textile, velvet-like surface. Earlier Masaya product listings used the name puff print. Those older listings describe a different version and should not be read as specifications for ERUPTION 1. Check the current product page when comparing a second-hand item with today’s range.
We do not publish a durability ranking between the two versions because we have not documented a comparable test.
Frequently asked questions
The answers below concern Core Flocking Tee in the current ERUPTION 1 range. Other printed garments can require different care. Use the product page and garment label for the item you own; an older retailer description or a general printing guide does not replace those product-specific details.
Is the print guaranteed for a certain number of washes?
No. We have not published a wash-cycle guarantee or a controlled test result.
Is the whole T-shirt 260 grams?
Not necessarily. 260 gsm is the fabric’s weight per square metre; a finished T-shirt uses a size-dependent amount of fabric.
Where can I check the current colours and sizes?
